  • I'm on a blogging hiatus, however, if you'd like to read what's up with my life, I suggest you try going to my facebook, if you're close friends of mine, and reading my 'Notes' about how I feel.. Thanks!

  • Wow, it's been a long time since I actually wrote anything.. I don't know why I have not been keeping up with what's going on around me but I guess I'm still a little stressed out.. I have so many things to do, and so little time to do it..

And getting sick was not what I had planned recently.. Been coughing and sneezing really bad and taking the medicine here did not cure it, so I assume it must've been something I was allergic to.. Then my monthly visitor came and everything went from bad to good.. I guess it was just 'late' to arrive at the door, you know..

I'm hungry, I'm gonna make me some food.. Let's hope Tyler's Dad can help me out soon..

  • I am so sorry I can't be bothered to blog.. I've been so busy, going up and down to Atlanta twice, saw the AutoShow, went to the Coca-cola Museum and it was awesome.. We also had some awesome food and the lovely (eventhough horribly sweet) Krispy Kremes.. I love my 'glazed'..

So tomorrow we're heading up to New York for a week, then I'll come back and blog more.. Been getting a few offers to sell insurance, but I'll have to get my temporary license at the DMV before I do anything else.. I'll leave you a little something cute and of my 'lunch' just a few days ago.. Ha ha ha.. You know you're in the States, when you have Tylenol.. Cheerio!

  • People are just odd.. I can't figure out what they're thinking.. And I found someone to accompany 'cow-cow'.. They're so adorable together and they remind me of mom and dad.. Ha ha ha! Anyway, we're heading to Atlanta tomorrow, will update you on my travels in the next few days.. Cheerio!

  • On Saturday night we went to watch ice hockey of the local game with the Augusta Lynx and the South Carolina Stingrays.. The game was awesome, despite not knowing a single rule of the game and not knowing a single player.. I didn't see a single HANDSOME player in the game, yet my mom kept blowing kisses..

    OH MY GOD..

I wanted to hide under my chair..

At least the home team won 4-3.. It was a good game till the last minute, which was nail-biting.. Thought we were going to lose since the score in the middle of the second half was 3-1.. Then the second team came out and they charged.. Two thumbs up for ice hockey, I'm soooo a fan now..

On Sunday, we went to the Riverbanks Zoo and had lots of fun.. Basically, it was meant to be a family outing, just spending time with Stewie and oh my frigging god, it was like so damn cold.. I was wearing my shorts with my boots and my legs weren't cold but my fingers were FROZEN.. How odd..

Anyway, we met up with Gwen's friend, Tyler.. Sweet guy, I guess he's pretty much part of the family since Stewie likes him so much.. Maybe cause he doesn't have much family around, so he tends to stay over at my sister's place often..

Yesterday, I went shopping and went crazy.. Seriously the clothes are so dirt cheap, I felt like I wanted to buy the whole store.. I have yet to find myself a great pair of jeans though, and the search goes on..

Oh by the way, the food's been awesome but I've forgotten my mobile phone so many times, so I have not taken any photos of the food.. I'm also always busy taking care of my nephew, so yeah, food pictures will come soon.. Stay tuned!

  • Special Entry..

    Tuesday, 8th April 2008

Packed up every last bit of memories I would be leaving behind, I believe that I will be able to get a job somewhere, doesn’t matter where it’ll be, my new life awaits me.. Somewhat hesitant to leave, plenty of me left in Malaysia, yet, I know it’s finally time..

Left the house at 12pm, and was having second-thoughts throughout the entire trip to the airport.. Started sms-ing people that I love, beginning from my best friend Nadia.. When I listened to her on the phone, she was bawling her eyes out and I felt really bad because I didn’t spend much time with her as I should have..

In fact, I feel like I didn’t spend much time with anybody.. It was like as if I was rebelling against myself, I felt that it would’ve made things worse if I went over to see them.. I guess I just thought it would’ve been easier if I just left without anyone knowing I was gone..

    Yet, people still remembered..

And then Melvin’s mom Hermis called.. Melvin is my ex, as you know.. He didn’t even wish me good luck or anything, he’s such a prick!! How on earth I could’ve gone out with a guy like, I don’t know, but I am so thankful we’re no longer together.. Yet his mom and sister loves me so much as much as I love them.. Ha ha ha.. Way to go, Elynne!

So, the trip wasn’t too bad, it was rather pleasant actually, minus the fact that the food is always crap.. To Taiwan, on the plane, I had noodles with braised chicken.. The noodles were nice and smooth, except they were WAY over-cooked.. And let’s not even begin with the vegetables, Malaysian catering is shit..

The three-hour pit-stop in Taiwan was always nice, cause there’s free wi-fi and there’s also free food from the airport lounge.. I couldn’t help myself and had 6 Taiwanese sausages.. He he he.. I’m such a glutton..And that was when I got my message from Yen, who wished me good luck..

Then there’s the 10 hour flight to Seattle (How come it’s faster than the trip to San Francisco?!?) on the Boeing 777-300 ER, which was so-so.. Even with a bigger seat, it was rather difficult to fall asleep, I found myself waking up and asking for water a lot of the time..

On the flight to Seattle, I was feeling relieved, maybe the reality started sinking in.. For supper and breakfast, I had the beef with potatoes and porridge with pork floss, which weren’t too bad.. But after that I found out that I had eaten something I was allergic to and my lips now look like I’ve just had a round of BOTOX..

Landed in Seattle, took a cab to the hotel which was 2 mins away from the Space Needle and boy, WHAT A VIEW! Sexy.. Okay, so, my third trip to Seattle, it was dinner time, so we went looking for American food to get rid of my motion sickness..

Landed in Hurricane Café/Diner which is open 24 hours..The place looks like a run-down shit but the food was awesome.. I had my first taste of American food, ‘Huevos Rancheros’, which is not really American but hey, WHO CARES? The serving size, of course, was huge, I think it would’ve been enough for my three meals a day.. Ha ha ha! Then we headed back to the hotel toget over my motion sickness..

    Wednesday, 9th April 2008

WOHOO, got to play ‘tourist’ again.. Found myself walking down the middle of Pike’s Place Market, looks exactly the same as I remembered.. Not a single thing has changed, except for the stall holders, and the tulips were still lovely as ever..

Then we walked and walked and walked and walked around downtown, which I totally loved.. I love Seattle, I don’t know why, but as much as I hate the cold that bites every single finger on my hands, the breeze that dries the daylights out of my skin and the smell of coffee in every damned corner, to me, I just feel right at home.. I don’t care how much it’ll take or how long it’ll take me, I’m moving to Seattle someday soon..

By the way, I did NOT get my coffee from the original Starbucks because the machine WAS DOWN… Damn it.. But then again, I had the best clam chowder and the sweetest oysters EVER, so I can’t complain..

And oh yeah, my sister went berserk because my mom told her the wrong flight details and she was waiting for us in Atlanta airport and we didn’t show up and she went crazy.. She even called my friend Christopher Mitten, and I swear, I’m so embarrassed..

I finally got Chris’ number and asked him out for a cup of coffee to compensate for that but our schedules were so different, I just feel so bad that we couldn’t meet.. I don’t care, I’ll make sure we’ll meet up in the summer, whatever it takes, I’ll be there..

Or Chris, if you’re reading this, get your butt down to Augusta baby!

And oh, by the way, I’m typing this from on-board the flight to Denver/Augusta.. Dad read the wrong timing for the flight and we ended up in the airport FOUR GODDAMNED HOURS EARLIER! ARGH! I wanna cry..

I could’ve spent 2 hours walking around Seattle.. *Regret*

Stay tuned, for my next journey entry.. And my job search.. Oh by the way, Wendy’s actually REPLIED.. Ok, so it may be a crappy job, but I was offered an Assistant Manager’s position.. Better than NOTHING, right?

  • For some strange reason I tried to blog yesterday but the entry wasn't going through even after restarting the internet and even restarting my computer.. I don't know if there was a problem with Xanga.com or something but it was irritating the heck out of me..

    Maybe it's because..

    I'M OVERWHELMED!

  • If there is only one reason why I would visit Iran, it would be to bathe myself in these Iranian sweets called 'Gaz'.. Mom brought back a few from someone in her office and I absolutely adore them.. They're somewhat like a nougat, but not as hard as those cheap sweet ones from Australia or those with candied fruits..

In fact, I wikipedia-ed it and found out that these aren't ordinary nougats, they're only available from a city in Iran called Isfahan and they get the 'Gaz' from the juice and stems of a desert plant called 'Angebin'.. What the heck is that?! Whatever they are, I just find them delicious! It's mixed with delicious pistachios, rose water and egg whites.. The rose water makes it different from a normal nougat..

Anyway, yesterday was a rather productive day.. I met up with Nick Kang, my sister's friend from college whom I have not seen for over 6-7 years and it was surprising.. He looked so different now, more matured and it was nice having someone to talk to.. He's as funny as ever, a pleasure to be with..

We went to Delicious in Bangsar for 'tea', I didn't know guys did 'tea', that was just so.. I don't know.. FUNNY! Ha ha ha.. Remember in the last entry I told you I never wanted to go back to Delicious again? Well, I had no choice, everyone seems to be dragging me there.. I still don't understand the 'draw' of the restaurant, it reminds me of Ikea, but without the delicious meatballs..

I settled for a lemon meringue pie, which I sort of regretted since it tasted nothing like a lemon pie.. All I could taste was the sugar in the meringue, which made me drink 3 cups of water to wash down all that sugar.. And now I'm having a tummy ache, must've been that meringue.. Sigh! I think the cappuccino I ordered also helped, since it was bitter and tamed the sweetness..

Nick ordered the brownie with vanilla ice cream, which was just so-so.. I remember I had a brownie in USA that blew my breathe away, somewhere in San Jose, and I have never EVER loved brownies in Malaysia ever since.. None comes close to that brownie.. Except the chocolate molten/volcano cake from Mezza Notte KL.. Now that, is something I would die for any day..

So, third trip to Delicious, in which I didn't have to pay, thank you Nick.. We spent almost 4 hours talking about the lives we've had these years.. Ha ha ha! And on Monday we're heading to have duck rice in PJ State, with his girlfriend Tracy whom I'll be meeting for the first time.. She's a very pretty girl, I've seen her pictures, so let's hope they get married soon and have cute little kids.. Ha ha ha!

And no, I forgot to take pictures of our cakes.. Mom, Dad and I are fighting over which bags we're taking to USA.. I have yet to pack.. SIGH! Someone help me............
